Nas said in ‘94: All I need is one mic, one beat, one stage / One nigga front, my face on the front page. And that’s still the deal for a billion-making, yet easily accesible music business. One mic for those whose talent is bigger than their pockets. One beat for MCs with a sick flow but nothing to ride. One stage for rappers that deserve a shot but have no audience to shoot to.
01. Product idea.
All that a rapper needs to hit the pro scene can be provided in a single digital ecosystem: one mic for smart devices that runs along with a companion app.

Right now there are millions of amateur rappers that want a ticket for a better life. And we studied their options to become a professional nowadays.
03. MO' The mic: product principles.
AUTHENTICITY over NOVELTY.
Being for real in hip-hop is what matters the most, so it’s important to be perceived as authentic, not as a toy for techies.
HQ over CHEAP.
New rappers want to sound just like their heroes, and no pro has dropped a hit with a smartphone mic. MO’ is here to vanish the barrier between pros and amateurs.
FRICTIONLESS over DO IT ALL.
A smart mic doesn’t try to replace your smartphone. Instead, it should focus on a seamless pairing and an intuitive UX with just the key actions you may need while holding it.
04. The first mobile-first mic.
1- Primary function. Prime finish.
Double press MO’ to rec and stop your rap. It’s designed to be sensed by your fingertips without losing your natural grip.
2- A crown for all rappers.
The crown is a smooth scroll-type interaction placed just below the sphere to go back and forth with your take.
3- Everything, in its right place.
Check your battery with an eye-catching LED strip at the base. Turn on and charge MO’ where it won’t interfere with anything else.
05. MO' The app: a flash journey.
Here’s a glimpse of the main interactions within the app: browsing through the home, writing a song, recording, and battling.

Swipe through a dashboard to keep up with your music and stay updated with the latest MO’ events and content.

Write your tracks in your notebook, in the app, or just shout them out. MO’ can help you write better with features like bars from the pros, rhyme dictionaries, problem detectors, or tap friendly shortcuts.
08. Find your beat.
Get access to a free, curated HQ beats library from amateur producers that use MO’ to earn exposure.
09. Get a better ride.
Record your track with a clean UX that guides you through the process with your lyrics synced to your beat.
