Community Boathouse
A boathouse along this stretch of the Monongahela would serve several surrounding communities and high school programs. The boathouse utilizes the existing seawall, once an area for barges to dock and load trucks with slag from the steel mills.
The boathouse includes exercise space with ergometer rowing machines (ERGs) that look out over the river for
all-season activity. Locker rooms, a team meeting room, a kitchen, and skull storage areas allow the boathouse to fulfill any need of a crew member.

The wood wrapping creates a semi-permeable walking area to reduce water runoff and reveals activity within the boathouse, delineating public and private.
