Formed in April 2016, Studio49 was a mobile games studio located in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Studio49 developed fun, whimsical, colourful mobile games for international audiences of all ages.

As the Head of Design, I was tasked with creating a logo and identity for this start-up. This challenging branding project involved numerous concept explorations, pixel art, five bags of coffee, power tools, a pile of construction junk and two skilled hands.
In addition to pixel art, I planned and used upcycled construction scraps from a renovation dumpster in the office courtyard to build two free-standing six-foot-tall numerals.
Next, I digitally recreated the installation and colourized the pieces using the existing pixel portrait palette.
With the Studio49 Logo finally established, I augmented it with an office photography shoot and designed a responsive, scrolling website. Lastly, I compiled the company brand guide.
