Our perception of gender and gender identities is an evolving topic. In my research, my interest was caught by the term Gender Fluid.
State of gender, mood and identity feels fluid and flexible. This floating element means that it is possible to change expression and visual presentation in the public and private spaces.
I wanted to create a series of textiles, with the focus on its material qualities and tactility. The textiles should enable gender fluid people to pay tribute to their gender nuances and their fluid gender identity, which is in constant motion and development.
