"Brotherhood and unity"

Work of art "Brotherhood and unity" The idea of the work originated from author's personal experiences gained during the journey to the Balkans.
It is a symbolic reference to the Yugoslav concept of 'Brotherhood and unity' spread as a slogan of socialist propaganda.
Despite the fall of Yugoslavia, this slogan is up-to-date and necessary to be further promoted. The artwork may refer to current international events and issues. The idea of brotherhood and unity is extremely needed in modern politics and international relations between several conflicted countries. There is no happiness without the brotherhood and unity...
This work of art consists of several mobile elements and includes the poliptych concept.
It is a hand-made woven, checked fabric made on a dobby loom. The work has a second layer visible under a UV light - some new artistic values are revealed then. Through many elements, the artwork may be assembled in several ways.
