A collection of logo animations of network channels and brands I did for class:
TLC broadcasts a lot of random shows, but there still are audiences who continue to
watch their work. I wanted the logo to 'fill up' on screen, perhaps the same
feeling of fulfillment that their audiences receive.
For Food Network, I wanted to create a pan with ingredients (the letters).
Since SYFY broadcasts a lot of spooky shows, I wanted to create a projection of the logo,
as if the audience was viewing it on an old TV.
I cut out the logo onto a black piece of paper and taped neon yellow acetate to one side of it. Then, I placed the paper with the acetate onto the opening of a rectangular bucket, partially filled with water, and then the entire bucket onto a four-legged stand. I placed a small table lamp (the one with twistable necks) underneath the stand and aimed the light onto the ceiling of my dorm. I then, filmed the logo on the ceiling by directing the camera at the ceiling, and tapped the bucket so that the water would move, wiggling the projection of the logo.
Starbucks is well-known for their coffee, so I added audio that
would allow me to emphasis on it.
I wanted to create something simple, yet dynamic, to speak upon Target's branding.
