INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITY
NAPKIN PITCH ACTIVITY
Virtual Reality is a new type of game in the industry. My group consist of 3 people Breinard(Me), Brenn(guy with glasses), Jaskaran(Big guy). When making our game standout from others, my group decided to think of a horror VR game. To make use of the VR we felt horror was the best choice to make the game play impressively scary.

The game play involves a guy who interacts with people during the day. During the night people who interacted with our character get dragged into a nightmare world. The objective of the game is to rescue the people that got dragged in into the nightmare world, while defending yourself from fears manifested from those people that got dragged in.

The character during the day doesn't know when interacting with people they get dragged into the nightmare world. During the night he remembers everything that has happened in the nightmare world.

Concept Art February

This house below is not the one used in game but used as a reference for a scene.
Concept Art March
Concept art of the game, when the 3 kids run to their own section.
Modeling February

These are the things that I was assigned to model. Not as much I would want but atleast I was assigned to them.
Modeling March

This month I got assigned to do more which made me happy. Making the models aren't a problem for me because I have maya at home. I also have a lot of experience modeling so im confident on my skills.
Modeling April
Grinding out models as fast as I can because I have programming after this to do. If you are wondering what are those spiders they are the o w o spider toys. :>
Programming March

Getting started with my section of the basement and this is the layout.
Worked on particle effects and highlighted the dust particle because it hard to see. (New to cascade so sorry if it doesn't look good)
This is what the entrance/exit looks likes.
PROGRAMMING APRIL

I have added a spider particle system, spider webs, changed layouts, and finished my first puzzle.
This is my spider particle system. Sorry for the material of the spider havent made/got one yet.
This is my first puzzle got my inpiration from my friend's(Brenn & Jamiro) game called color bender but just changed stuf a bit. How this works is there is the 3 primary and secondary color and all you have to do is match the color of the spider on the right, the first color to match is purple as you can see, so all you have to do is activate the red and blue spiders to change the color of the spider next to the purple spider. But you may ask that why not just go to the spider that corrispond to that spider color you are trying to mix? Well you can try. :>
Programming May

I Have Finished my second puzzle and third puzzle while making some models within Unreal.
This is my 2nd puzzle. This is not really a puzzle, all you have to do is follow a spider but there will be a nasty suprise at the end.
This is my 3rd Puzzle if you touch the orbs on the ground like for example blue, blue will activate while also making blue walls appear on the map, but here is the catch, if you activate more than one color at a time the mixes of those colors gets made, and whatever that outcome of that color mixed, the wall corresisponding to that mix of color will go down while also making some of the corresponding color wall appear. How you finish this maze is by activating that green orb at the top right of the maze so you can get the mixture for white, making the wall in the middle with the purple, green, orange, and white orb on it go down.
I don't know if this makes it easier but since its VR Jamiro(Team leader) thought it would be a good idea to put the orbs on the wall instead of the ground so that the player doesn't have to crouch. This may or may not be a good idea I don't know, it's preference.
Added quite a few changes to layout. :)
This is the blueprint of my level used a lot of matinee and conditioning to make my level work. XD
Programming June
Organized my blueprint, and here are my booleans and my matinees that I use.
After some revisions because of frame rate issues, gameplay is too hard, and character pawn being so small I had to change a lot of things. this is what happened to my level and blueprint.
For my blueprint I basically scrapped my maze puzzle and just made it into a normal maze, made my puzzle one less complicated by deleting the trolls and white combination, made a suprise when they get the key ;} and highlighted the key sysytem.
For my level it used to have so much mesh in it and because of that it looked so awesome, but because of those mesh the framerate drop when using the vr. I have tried to solve this issue by making all the mesh not cast shadows which helped a lot, made the frame rate go up by a suprising amount, and I tried deleting some of meshes it only did a little change but now I hope that the frame rate go up now that I have downgraded my level so much, but now have a higher playability.
Sounds Design June
Since deadlines are coming and people are busy i took this job cause i need sounds for my level don't throw rocks if im not good. :P
The sounds I made are from WavePad Sound Editor. How I made the sounds are just by using whats around me or me. :]
Most of the sounds I used in game are sounds mixed together in unreal engine to make one sound and its suprisingly good since its my first time doing this.
Honorable mentions for those who helped me make my puzzles/models/game/sounds look better, enhanced it, or even possible: Jaskaran for setting up GitHub and motion controls, Jamiro for giving me inspiration, sounds, and some feedbacks on models and layout advices, Brenn for giving me inspiration on my first puzzle, Adam & Isaac for giving feedbacks on modeling, and lastly thanks to Erik for keeping me motivated to work, and helping me have some inspirations as well. :>
