BACKGROUD

My mother always had the habit of checking the weather before hanging out the laundry. A survey of 100 housewives on laundry drying showed that more than 80 percent of them preferred to dry their laundry in the sun than the dryer.
The results showed that they still preferred natural forces over technological products.

어머니는 빨래를 널기 전 항상 날씨를 확인하는 습관을 가지고 있었다. 이러한 어머니의 행동이 나에게 디자인 영감을 주었다.
주부 100명을 대상으로 빨래 건조의 대한 설문조사를 한 결과,

80% 이상의 주부들은 건조기보다 햇볕에 빨래를 건조를 하는 방식에 선호한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
결과에서 아직도 기술적인 제품보단 자연의 영향을 더 선호하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

PROBLEM

These days, there are a variety of laundry racks that cater to the lifestyle of users.
Among them, ceiling-type laundry racks are used a lot by people because of their space use.
However, when not using a laundry rack, there were frequent product failures and problems that were not visually beautiful and inconsistent with space.

최근 사용자의 라이프스타일에 맞춰서 다양한 빨래 건조대가 많아지고 있다.
그 중 천장형 빨래 건조대는 공간활용의 용이하기 때문에 사람들이 사용을 하고 있다.
하지만 빨래건조대는 기술적으로 발전이 부족하며, 시각적으로 아름답지 않고 공간과 조화롭지 않은 문제점을 가지고 있었다.

soleil[sɔlεj] - 솔레일은 프랑스어로 햇빛, 햇볕이라는 의미를 가지고 있으며, 동시의 햇빛을 받기 위해 내려온다. 라는 중의적 의미를 가지고 있습니다.

This product can be harmonized with space and helps dry laundry easily by providing

weather information to users.

공간의 조화를 이룰 수 있으며, 날씨에 반응하고 사용자에게 날씨 정보를 알려주는 제품

Now the laundry racks are in harmony with the space.

이제 건조대도 공간과 조화를 이룹니다.

There's no need to be outside any more.

건조대는 더 이상 밖으로 나와 있을 필요가 없습니다.

Even if the material and color are changed, the rails of the laundry racks can be beautiful in form.

소재와 색상만 바꿔도 건조대는 조형적으로 아름다울 수 있습니다.
