The next wave festival is the signature event program of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), gathered performances in which genres mixed and traditions were upended. Choreographers, directors, artists and musicians now had access to bigger audiences.
The aim of this project was to design a clear and suitable guide for this fantastic event through minimalistic way to help audience know more about the event. Each of the poster represents the different performance in different month, from October toDecember. These four posters surveys the festival’s performances by time, with photos and ephemera from BAM’s archive and a chronology of performances.
The project was completed under the guidance of Jennifer Cole Phillips as a part of the Graduate Typography course at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore.
