Luton Hoo Kid's Book Festival

Luton Hoo Kid's Book Festival Branding
A5 Flyer.
Poster.
An idea we came up with to give away play dough at the festival and encourage kids to make their favourite character. A leaflet that came with the play dough (shown below) would encourage the kids to post their monsters on twitter, building the online community of Luton Hoo festival.
Leaflet that comes with the play dough.
Encourages people to get involved in 3 easy steps: Make the mosters, take a photo, and tweet it. This would build the community and awareness of Luton Hoo Book Festival.
Bookmarks can be collected to make the scene of the garden where the festival is held.
Meet the Monsters. Each one corresponds to a different tent at the festival.
Quee Quee: The Illustrator's Marquee
Pav: The Pavillion
Tory: The Conservatory
Ground Breaker: The Ground Breaking tent for up-and-coming authors
Carter: The creative cart shed.
We designed the characters with different personalities that would appeal to different age groups. For example cheeky Quee Quee would appeal to younger kids and lazy Carter to young teens.

We were invited to show our idea at the festival. The kids loved making their versions of the monsters (see below for examples) and parents were really getting involved taking photos and posting them on twitter. Proof of a successful idea.
