Porsche 911 Turbo S Reveal / Teaser

I wanted to create a car teaser / reveal in full CGI. My goal was to draw on real world camera moves and edits, to create the same look and feel, the same response as I had to the live action footage I used as inspiration. 

I wanted to know how easy (or hard) it would be to re-create these live action ads I'd seen. The biggest difference I found between CG and live action was having extra footage for fast cuts, layering multiple shots, and remapping shots to speed up. These can be done when shooting a car, but as renders it all needs to be planned and rendered out. I found moving things forward in the edit was challenging without going back into CG to create extra content. 

Everything was hand animated in Maya, shaded, lit and rendered in Vray Next. The new features in Vray Next made it the perfect renderer for this project.
