The Dandy Warhols are a rock band from Portland Oregon. While considering the cover art for this design I looked at the bands artistic influences. Of course there is Andy Warhol and pop art, but the sound of the band is more late 60s with a modern twist.

I aimed to take a pop art feel and mix it with a bit of 60s psychedelia. For the mark, I created a typeface influenced by the great 60s band posters for the Fillmore West. This project was the result of an assignment in an Entertainment design class at Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
