'Believe in yourself, 2019

A more darker work, with the same intention to say something. This time I wantend to focus on my own religion. I believe in something. What I'm saying is that I believe in something, it can be a god,it can be nothing, it can ben a fish or a plant, it can be everything. I just don't know what that something is. 

With that said I focused on the thoughts that I also can believe in myself! it's also a moto that works for me when your having a hard time. so this inspired me to make this work. 

I show myself as if I am a saint, but I'm not. I think nobody is. Based on the old portraits of Rubens en Van Eyck I made this work in a holy-like pose. I present myself with a half light green auriol that also focused on the part that I'm not a real holy person myself, I persend myself here like a fake object where I can believe in, thinking and believing in myself.
