Architecture

The original Greek name is: "Αρχιτεκτονικη" from the prefixes "αρχι" which means the first, leader, chief and "τεκτονικη" which means tecton, structure, mason.
So the archi - tect is the leader of the tectons, the masons, and the builders.

Architecture is the profession of combining all the necessary skills, knowledge, experience, talent, and inspiration in order to create a unique building - structure. It also contains the ability and skill to construct the designed project and supervise totally the building throughout all the building phases.

Architecture is a very important social act, because a bad theatrical show, a bad restaurant or a nasty work of art is possible for everyone to avoid and never re-act with it. An ugly and inhuman urban environment must be endured and experienced every day.

Architecture is life.
