My Dad has spent the past 10 years of his life becoming one of Hulls best driving instuctors.. He has finally took the dive and decided to let me give his company/service an overhaul. He told me he wanted to see different ideas and a selection of colours and how a logo would look on a dark car aswel as a light one. All he gave me was he wanted it to look modern and fresh and call it "Graham Francis, Driving School" 

I played with the idea of gf as a logo and had hours of mucking around with sketches and capitals aswel as the usual riff of rubbish i came up with which just went to the bin but we finally decided on four. When we spoke about driving lessons my dad would speak to me and tell me about how "bill plant" has a wonderful logo... please google that for your own opinion but moving on he also told me how he likes to have fun with his students let them feel like the lesson isnt just a brain nubing effort of how to pass a test. The lowercase of the letters just had to be included as compaired to the capitals it was just more friendly..

 

The idea to remove the crossbar from the 'f' was one that we didnt take easy as looking at the screen made us even question if you could still see it as gf... but amost the family and friends they liked it and could indeed see it represented the F... 

 

My Dad liked them all as he would speaking to his son whos just designed up his new logo but told me to choose as i am closer to his target audiance than he is... And so i did...

The above i feel was the best from the four choosen.. we were going to change the colour of the logo to red however the orange just felt right. Striking and stimulating it really pops off the screen and printed documents.

We are now taking the next steps to roll out this brand and my father really loves it,,
