The kitchen area, used by the client different from the traditional Egyptian families was designed as an open kitchen, directly attached to the living room, to create a connection between the two zones, to make it as a focal point at the entrance, being an artwork itself. the kitchen experience in this project is different, being near 2 high windows overlooking the downtown view, the vastness of the room without borders provides its daily user with comfort with the family tv at the axis of the kitchen to avoid the separation of the users during the cooking process. the lighting scenario was using track technical lighting at the main areas to provide maximum lighting and using l.e.d warm light to provide a dim dramatic effect. The apartment relies heavily on natural light with the use of semi transparent curtains in order not to block the downtown view, chamfered glass was used to serve this purpose without reducing the users privacy while preserving the same old windows as it is.
