The small private institution had fairly recently achieved university status but was fighting old misconceptions about its academic and experiential offerings. From extensive, on-campus focus groups with administrators, faculty, and students, it was clear that WNE's story needed some reshaping. Aiming to promote active engagement, even the printed publications infused Augmented Reality elements that took a standard viewbook and road brochure to a whole new level by making each a portal into an interactive experience.

By scanning key elements on certain pages, readers could watch videos, cycle through image galleries, take a campus tour or explore a financial aid calculator—all exclusive content available through the A/R app!

The response was overwhelmingly positive with admission counselors conveying anecdotes about the pieces drawing a crowd—even from other tables—when recruiting on the road.
