Gene Tower provides a new strategy of gene storage for global big data

The design of Gene Tower provides a new strategy of gene storage for global big data. At the same time, it brings an idea of delighted sharing and environmentally friendly lifestyle to the rapid development of cities.
The gene storage for big data in the world, we design a vertical gene tower for data both to reduce the occupied space and to favour the use of natural and renewable resources based on a desalination plant on the bottom of tower. Sharing is a crucial point of this design. Synchronously, there are more and more data need to upload to the cloud in the future. Finding these two behaviors brings about the plasma steel structures of gene storage, that people can directly upload their data towards the tower. We contemplate the education center, research laboratory, lighting, ventilation, greening, desalination plant into a system. 
新加坡地狹人稠,缺少天然資源,為了回應新加坡政府的百年計畫政策,期望「到2050年,太陽能可以供給30%的電量」,「以往一直仰賴馬來西亞供給淡水資源,未來新加坡將透過新生水計劃、海水淡化工程和建設蓄水池等多項舉措來保證自來水供給」。

本案規劃為海上的城市公園,水面下是自給自足的海水淡化系統,利用列印的太陽能板提供高樓大廈電力,整體建物的光纖是電力載體供夜間照明,有機曲線弱化建築量體,透過光纖穿線的光影場景,試圖修補人類與自然的關係。建物為乘載人類希望的基因塔,一個保存全世界農作物種子的貯藏庫。為了在大規模的區域性或全球性危機期間防止其他基因庫中種子的丟失,保護全球生物的基因多樣性。

隨著氣候變遷與人類行為外部成本增加,我們能為地球做些什麼?因此,我們提出一個與環境共存的城市提案,突破以往的造型限制,勾勒一個未來的烏托邦,一個與大地萬物共存的生活。

十分感謝老師和組員在我遇到瓶頸時提供的建議,讓本案有相當高的完整性;同時透過此案,更能了解高樓層建築的設計方式,面對未來的科技演變,及氣候變遷所需應對的各種問題,將未來科技作延展,讓結構設計上跳脫傳統限制,以光纖纜結合鋼索作為主要的建築支撐。最後謝謝戰國策及評審老師們的肯定。
