ROG Mothership

With the announcement of the ROG Mothership, their newest laptop at CES 2019, Asus asked for a video showcasing the design and functionality of the product.
The design of the Mothership is super unique compared to their other laptops. Instead of the screen folding up from the keyboard, the keyboard folds away. To allow better cooling, all the components stay raised with the screen, keeping the back panel free to breath where with a regular laptop would be restricted from being on a desk. These designs and features of the Mothership I made sure to showcase throughout the video.
Concept
For the concept I wanted to do a play on the name 'Mothership'. So I start with a shot of the product landing, and throughout the video using shock waves, low camera angles, and intense mechanical sound design to add to the grandness of the product. The landscape I kept very dark in tone to have the color they product emits be what instantly catches your eye.
The scene resembles that of a barren landscape, with large jagged rock formations which help to keep the focus on the Mothership as it stands apart from the scene. I try to show as little of the product in each shot, but making sure I still allow the viewer to understand how it works, to build up to the final shot showcasing the Mothership.
