Task Description 

Initial Design before critique. In this initial design, shapes such as an oval and rectangle were shaped and edited to create the hair, head, mouth and eyes into the desired shape to match myself. This was done by using the shape tool, builder tool and edit tool in Adobe Illustrator. 

In the critique, it was suggested at a light coloured background was to be added to signify a complete artwork. Also, a necklace was suggested to complete the icon and so that the icon didn't just look like a floating head. This was done using the shape tool using a rounded rectangle for the neck and an oval for the background. To contrast the web icon, the background is coloured a light pink so that the dark colours of the icon are contrasted. 

Before the critique, the dark colours of the web icon where not contrasted and the artwork was not complete. Also there was no neckline and the icon was incomplete. When the critiques were applied, the icon become contrasted with a light pink background enclosed in a circle representing a complete artwork and a neckline was created.
