Illustrations that will make you happy

We all have that ''yakkity yak'' voice in our head that tells us that we ain't good enough and we need to worry because...
In my opinion this voice is wrong, it pictures us the worst care scenario, and after all it's never that bad.
I like to illustrate crazy faces, so here are some dudes having trouble with the ''yakking'' in their heads.
Surfing is very interesting to me. I never did it, mainly because I live in Holland and the waves at our beach are not that spectaculair. But that doesn't take away the fact that I like the beach, being a boy at the beach, summer and The Beach Boys. I also happened to have a fascination for weirdly places characters in my illustrations; so here's an unhappy surfer dude with a rhino-like dog.
Once there was a design contest for coasters, once there was a day I didn't win it. Nevertheless, I liked to illustrate a claustrophobic group of people forming a glass of beer. I'm not that a fan of drinking, but like I said above; I like to illustrate weirdly placed characters.
Again, I like to illustrate weirdly placed characters. I also like some character stuck in the mouth of another character, and humans riding on animals that aren't made to ride on (but could be!). Drawing this is kind of like knotting characters and situations together, I love to do that.
This is an illustration with a story. It's about me. Me going to the McDonald's regretting walking into the restaurant, but I still walk into the restaurant. Regretting order bad food, still...order bad food. Regretting eating the bad food...you already guessed it; regretting while doing it. I like food, I like bad food. But I also like being healthy and looking good (not fat). I think the regretting, doubting, still doing it circumstances are explained pretty clear in this illustration.
This is a crazy scientist. Kinda like a Rick and Morty idea, but you could also recognize other scientists form TV Cartoons in it. The crazy scientist is a pretty indispensable thing in cartoons. Dr. Doofenshmirtz! Anyone?!
To continue with the ''weirdly placed'' thing...I liked drawing his experiment on a skateboard. Also, his legs are...well; weirdly placed.
I already told you about the bad food habit, and you saw the illustration about it. I continued illustrate about myself, and my food habits. This is about me ordering bad food and watch cartoons or lame comedies. Most of the time I regret it before bedtime because I'm always stuffed and it's always like my brain is still playing the spongebob laugh over and over again after watching.
Boy and girl in a recordstore. I illustrated a romantic situation, or at least I tried. Both loving music, and both looking for new vinyl; sounds like the perfect couple. No weirdly placed anything this time.
Here are the same illustrations but cropped to it's intention
Here are the original pen drawings I digitalized later
Here are the full illustration prints again on a smaller scale
Hope you're happier! :)
