Curtido ("hardened") is a magazine about social conscience, a critical magazine.
We believe in the quality of content that media has to offer, and through it changing what people learn and believe about themselves. With an integral perspective, we approach beauty in an inclusive way, generating human acceptance of and from our readers.

Se conceptualizó una revista social-cultural de un tiraje de 1000 ejemplares. Al considerar el presupuesto se tomó la decisión de jugar con las posibilidades de una impresión a dos tintas en un formato A5, en cartulina opalina.
The starting point: A social-cultural magazine with a circulation of 1000 copies. When considering the budget, the decision was made to play with the possibilities of a two-ink printing in an A5 format, on opaline cardboard.
Además de planear y seleccionar cuidadosamente el tema de los artículos, se plantea que el lector pueda encontrar en la forma, y no sólo el contenido, una fuente de interés: las páginas centrales (y, por lo tanto, los artículos más importantes) cambiarían el sustrato por una cartulina de tacto rugoso y color diferente.
In addition to carefully planning and selecting the subjects of all articles, it is proposed that the reader can find in the form, and not only the content, a source of interest: the substrate of the central pages (and, therefore, the most important articles) would be substituted by a different color, rough touch cardboard.
Además, en la versión impresa, la lectura de los artículos se invierte según el lado de la revista por la que se comienza a leer: esto marca una sutil separación en el tratamiento del contenido (una mitad se centra en el tema de la belleza en la actualidad y la otra en antecedentes) y le da la libertad al lector de escoger su propio orden de lectura.
Also, for the printed version, the reading of the articles is reversed according to the side of the magazine from which it is read: this marks a subtle separation in the content treatment (one half focuses on "beauty nowadays" and the other in antecedents), and gives the reader the freedom to choose their own reading order.
Los sentidos opuestos de lectura se enfrentan en el spread central, en el cual el lector puede hallar una infografía que ocupa ambas páginas, lo que implicará que gire la revista a 90º, preparándolo para la nueva orientación de lectura.
The opposite reading directions meet halfway, quite literally: in the central spread, where the reader can find an infographic that extends to both pages – this means turning the magazine to a 90º angle, preparing them for the new reading direction.
