EDITING A MOOD

Pitch 1:
The theme of my video is dreaming, dreaming of what might happen in the future and a little bit of flashbacks of the past. Basically, my video can have multiple moods like being happy and sad at the same time, showing that dreams can interpret foreseeing in our future or it may somehow show some dark past and it could lead to a sad reality. But, the main idea of the mood is to recreate a more realistic situations.
The mood can be enhance by adding a melancholy audio or adding black and white color to show the sad mood which is the part where the flashbacks of the past comes in. For the happy mood scenes I am thinking to use brighter effects or color to show the happiness which is the part where you dream your future.
There will be 2 or 3 setting places to capture and finish the entire mood, one will be somewhere down the road or at school, for the part where her flashbacks of the past pops out, second setting can be at the park or at the hospital, for the part where she sees herself in the future and lastly when she wakes up the setting place will be at home/on the bed.
In the finale when she wakes up she'll find herself sad because of her past flashbacks, that scene will either be black and white colored since its a sad scene or it could have no filter. In the first couple of scenes audience will notice that shes dreaming her future which is the happy part but will eventually change their mood after the flashbacks of her past which is the sad part. They will notice the changes of the mood right away when they see the b&w filter which represents the flashbacks, then it will come back right to no filter and then it repeats.

Pitch 2:
This idea came up within just the past few days after I finished recording my shots and so, I decided to change a little bit of my idea than before. I think that instead of seeing your future in your dreams, you can go wherever you want, you can do anything that you wanted in your real life but you cannot. But, the flashbacks of the past will remain the same. Apparently, the mood will change it will be thrilling.
The settings will be at home, obviously, at the mall and some fast food restaurants. The flashbacks will just show some bad habits from the past. In the finale instead of finding herself sad, she will find herself scared and panicking from the bad habits she did from the past. The rest of my idea will stay the same, the part where her flashbacks will just pop out from her dreams/

EDITING A MOOD

Pitch: In this mood sequence I added music, colours and of course some editing skills in order to accomplish this project. While doing this project, it took me some time to finish and achieve what I wanted in the first place. First, I searched for a good audio that will and can change their mood while watching the sequence; the feeling of trying to forget all the bad and scary things from the past but no matter what she does it still bothers her whether she feel it in reality or see it in her dreams. The idea of adding B&W effect is to show you how bothering seeing your past in your dreams, that it might lead your dreams into a nightmare and might never wake up again. While I was recording clips I started to change my ideas into different story but still has the same theme which is dreaming. I started to combine clips and started to edit one by one. However, I decided to change the ending a bit from what I said on my pitch, I want to end it a little bit confusing so audience will think if she got trapped in her nightmare or she died while dreaming. This will change the whole mood of the sequence from the part where everything she see in her dreams went backwards.
Walking and Arriving

Point A to Point B

Pitch: My idea is during lunchtime. The main character is at school and is so excited for the luchbreak, he goes to the canteen as soon as he hears the bell ring. He is so excited to order and eat his very delicious favorite poutine. He got his food and now on his hand, his on his way to sit down but another person bumped him intentionally so he wont be able to eat his food and he become sad and all moody all the day.
Adrian go into a class and falls asleep, he starts to dream about a nerdy girl and him (the jock) laughing and talking but then he wakes up from his dream. He sees the nerdy girl in the hallway and finds his courage to talk to her.

Discussion Notes

Adrian-  The Awful Truth
1. Addy and Katie can be both female, it doesn't really matter if both females are portraying                            Addy and Katie.
2. Character’s face emotions should be convincing

Kyle- The Awful Truth
1. We can enhance the mood by adding more dramatic dialogues
2. For when Addy and Katie leans on other sides of the closet we can film on a door just sitting by on both sides.

Casiej- The Awful Truth
1. A romance comedy film will be a good idea but cheesy
2. Change the actors name but still both female and male
3. We can change the characters to both female
4. Change the scripts so it would not sound too cheesy

Chenise- The Awful Truth
1. Change the theme to friendship
2. Change the title so it will fit the theme
3. Change the actors name to both female

Reflection: Overall reflection
Doing this project is much tougher but we enjoyed it since it was our first time acting. We had some difficulties to finish the film because we always laugh like every second, some scenes took more than 15 retakes because we always laugh and we had a hard time to have a serious face. Another thing that we find annoying is when people always interrupt us especially when we were in the middle of filming of a scene. Some people say sorry when they passed by but a lot of people did not say 'sorry' or 'excuse me' which was very annoying because we took most of our time waiting for them to stop passing by. Somehow, while doing this project was very fun because we had a lot of fun times and laughing times. If we ever going to make another acting film that would be very much fun for us. Also, accomplishing this film inspired us to be more professional when it comes to doing a production.
