Nick Meek once again brought his distinctive style to Infiniti, this time for the global launch of the new QX50. To shoot a "Code Red" model, which is unreleased to the public, had its own issues in the iconic San Francisco locations.
Closed bridges, high security and occasionally stand-in models all had a part to play in a complex production that had to run with absolute precision by producer Michael Horta. At the time of shooting, there were huge forest fires locally, so the sky was milky rather than the clear blue than we had expected. On one occasion the police pulled out because they had to attend the fires when we wanted to shoot on the bridge - so we had to shoot the bridge out of a moving car.
Recom Farmhouse director Christoph Bolten was on set had to ensure perfect delivery of each image with two looks - Nick Meek's signature high-key version for advertising and a more naturalistic version for brochure use.
