Self Branding | 2019 - Present
UPDATED BRANDING FOR AN UPDATED CAREER JOURNEY
In the beginning of 2019, I launched my web novel, O Burning Star, a lifelong ambition of mine to get my story out into the world. Through the process of making the site, I learned and grew a strong appreciation to the realm of digital marketing, so much in fact that I decided to take on a new full-time job and career path in that area of expertise. So, my professional ambitions had diverged into three areas: Digital Design/Art, Digital Marketing, and Storytelling. I needed to update my personal branding and online presence to reflect this new change in multiple directions and have these ambitions consistent with visual themes.


SAME LOGO FOR A NEW LOOK 
I kept the same design as my logo from my personal branding I made in 2016. I felt there was no need to change the overall design as it still aligned with my new personal brand. The only change was to have the corners slightly rounded to make for a somewhat softer look.

COLORS FOR MINIMALISM AND ACCESSIBILITY
In 2018, I really latched on to the new movement of "minimalism" in my personal life. I got rid of things that brought no value to my life, and pulled focus away from goals that in the end were not going to fit with what I really want to achieve. My new brand colors reflect that. More solid and monochrome background colors allow information and content in branding materials to stand out more. A new accent color of light turquoise contrasts a lot better with the new shades of blue. Together, these brand colors are more accessible to viewers with visual impairments and color blindness.

DIFFERENT PATTERNS TELLING SEPARATE BUT CONNECTED STORIES
With new professional goals and ambitions, it was important to differentiate those areas from each other in the context of the different mediums my brand will be exposed to. Depending on the services/expertise I will be showcasing to specific audiences, different patterns will be used to connect to that specific story being told.

CLEAN AND MODERN FOR IMPACT
Montserrat has quickly become a very popular font. I decided to use it over my old font Cabin because of it being more rounded and easier to read in a long paragraph form.



CUSTOM RESPONSIVE DESIGN
In 2017, I started to use what I consider to be the best website builder, Webflow, for various website projects. It has allowed me to  have complete control over the design of my websites without having to worry about coding. I've like it so much that it became a major factor in me deciding to launch my novel as a website. I was able to design a personal website for myself exactly the way I wanted with reflecting to my new branding.
