It is only by drawing a new product and realising that childhood memories resurface and become an integral part of the project that you understand how personal experience and fun are fundamental ingredients in this profession. On the occasion of the return of the Ghostbusters saga in 2016, while I was working for Italia Independent we were commissioned the design of these glasses by Sony.
I analysed the iconic images of the previous movies in order to design new graphics that would recall the original ones while still remaining truthful to Italian Independent’s iconic style: bold but glamorous. The faithful use of palettes and synthesized icons, developed in some cases as patterns and in others as focal elements, became key element.
