    March 3rd 2012 the Costa Rican Congress passed a set of laws that condemn and fine sport hunting, a very popular sport that has significantly deteriorated wildlife populations. Forty-one delegates voted in favor, only five affirmed their disagreement with these new policy. This initiative marks an essential step in the protection of defenseless fauna; these new animals, just as I have illustrated, have now been elevated to a "sacred" position as they are now, in theory, untouchable. As far as for the aesthetic of the collection I looked for inspiration in the work by Lucienne Day ultimately incorporating the shifted forms, hand drawn lines and relatively muted colors into the concept.
