This series is a sensuous exploration of skin that I conducted over a three month period. Using models from a variety of backgrounds, I was able to capture the unique aspects of each person's skin. The series aims to combat current ideals of beauty and allow for a broader definition of what beauty is. The media promotes a very narrow definition of what beautiful skin is and Americans spend billions of dollars every year on products meant to "tame" and beautify their skin, when in fact there is nothing wrong with it. Skin is a very beautiful and powerful aspect of the human form and I hope to continue this series over a longer period of time.
