Book design for an epic poem by German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Story
A love story between a refugee and a wealthy son of a local innkeeper. In an instant, the characters’ lives shatter beyond repair, all in the shadow of the seemingly far away from the French revolution.
Imagery
Glass shards were photographed in different compositions to represent the damage done by the romance of Hermann and Dorothea.
