Republic Bike Rebrand

This project was my opening to the world of design; I had an idea of a process through being in an engineering design course throughout high school and tried my best to apply it to graphic design. I chose a company whose logo didn't represent them as well as I thought it could and came to a conclusion that represented them better as a company.
The process was started with brainstorming pages upon pages of ideas, photoshopped to shoe the top candidates for the next step. From these eight I chose two that I felt would work best. These two were then sketched multiple ways to ensure I looked at it more than one way.
The next step in the process is to take your sketches into Adobe Illustrator and render them. Rendering them in black outlines with no color and then proceeding to look at a color palette. Once a palette is picked I try to move the colors around multiple ways so that you get the different aspects and find more potential.
The result of this project was two simple logos with two different takes on the company yet fulfilling the representation equally. The typography is meant to compliment and balance the logo. Without the typography the logos stand well and are able to hold themselves.
Thanks for watching!
