Công việc trong môn học này là phải dựa theo guidelines có sẵn để làm ra được tờ báo mang đúng tinh thần ELLE, việc làm theo một guideline có sẵn tưởng dễ mà khó: phải tự tìm các loại typeface mà họ sử dụng, tìm hiểu cách kết hợp giữa chúng và đặc biệt là phải tìm mẫu cho ảnh bìa để tạo ra được hình ảnh đúng chất cô gái ELLE mà họ đã xây dựng.
