I designed these posters for an assignment in my Intro to Graphic Design class a few semesters ago.  We were asked to choose an artist and create three posters that would work as announcements of art exhibits specifically for our artist.  I chose Milton Glaser as my artist.  I learned so much from researching his work, life, philosophies, and life mantras.  Below you can see my final three posters (Collage, Typography, and Photography).

COLLAGE POSTER

This final poster design really addresses the theme of my artists exhibit.  The main picture is Milton Glaser, and it is a collage of his work coming out of his head.  My theme is obvious, and it fits perfectly with it.  Milton has done a lot of collage type of designs, and how I have broken that up really works and goes with his style.

TYPOGRAPHY POSTER

This final poster design really addresses the theme of my artists exhibit.  Milton Glaser starts off all of his designs by drawing.  He talks about drawing with everything and anything.  Using sidewalk chalk, again, was a great way to try to step into Milton's mind.

PHOTOGRAPHY POSTER

This final poster design really addresses the theme of exhibit really well because Milton is all about peace and contributing to making the world better.  You can see that in a lot of his work.  He uses a lot of fun colors together as well.  My dove of peace is created with sidewalk chalk on a sidewalk, it really goes along with Milton's style.

THE NEXT TWO POSTERS ARE POSTERS THAT I CREATED THAT WERE IN THE RUNNING'S FOR MY FINAL COLLAGE POSTER.  THAT IS THE POSTER I HAD THE HARDEST TIME NARROWING IT DOWN TO MY FAVORITE, SO I WANTED TO ADD THEM HERE.

What was the hardest for me with these posters is that we were very limited to the fonts we were allowed to use.  I would have enjoyed pushing the typography further, and I think it would have helped a lot with the end products.
