Illustration from my job as a retail worker. I started this when the Christmas shopping was just starting, and didn't finish it until now. Customers just aren't the same during that time. They get angry, yell from across the store and see you more as an enemy than a store employee looking to help them. We have a policy where we focus on helping the customers, which separates us from the competition. Smiling and doing everything you can doesn't help when you can't blink between rude remarks. 

I would make this as an overcrowded store where everybody is heading for the main character. Perhaps I should, but that would be a different illustration and message.
