The Mouse Outfit brief was a task set by my mentor Barney Ibbotson. In which I had to design 3 graphics for black T-shirts, each resembling a song or variables of the bands personality.

My first graphic was an illustrated piece I created depicting a comical scene. The mouse is loaded up with cheese, living behind a hollow wall, chilling and listening to The Mouse Outfit.

The song he is listening to is their song “Sit back on this one.” 

For this design, I wanted to explore the use of typography in collaberation with the use of my illustration.

The title is presented as melted cheese, in coherence with the name of the group. I kept to a minimal colour palette, that contrasted well against a black background. Allowing the design to remain clear and powerful.

The idea behind this design was based around an abstract patterning of a
barcode. 

When the pattern is combined with a cut out of the ‘mouse’, it has a very
simplistic and urban style. Especially with the group’s name is presented as the
catalog number.
