This complex template and script system built for Adobe Illustrator takes a lot of tedious work away from the graphic artists, allowing them to spend time on more quality projects while providing a ridiculously fun interface. It consolidates 1-2 hours of mentally-intensive labor into a 5-minute routine. Not only does it create print files, it also automatically creates a photographic mockup of the product and enables uploading the content to the web by outputting raster files to a specific location. The user interface is the epitome of a weapon against boredom. Differing from customer-based user interfaces, this UI Window is geared toward the graphics professional who has to use the same interfaces multiple times per hour or per minute while completing the less-creative tasks of the industry. This ridiculous UI Window features a semi-interactive character, the loveable alien named "Joe Bob". His eyes follow the cursor in some areas of the window, clicking him will cause him to raise hands and shut his eyes momentarily while clicking anywhere in the window will position his hands on the various buttons or levers on his console. Underneath the hood, this automation system is deeply integrated into my employer's business logic, allowing the user to select from a drop-down list to automatically pre-fill file destinations. A rich fall-back mechanism allows an interface with no graphics, and abilities to make certain files if resources for all files are not available. While this routine currently creates 34 products, divided into 6 categories, the list-based layout of individual categories allows for easy future editing to add or remove products. All in all, very well received by the art department.

The Smart Adobe Illustrator Template consolidates the manual task of color changing and logo-placement. Now, an accessory script duplicates a selected logo into the middles of all imprint areas while the color can be changed just by selecting same fill color two times.
