,,...Dalekima" (,,...to the Distant Ones")

,,...Dalekima" ("...to the Distant Ones") represents a generative interactive audio-visual experience with narrative properties indicating issues of potential methods of communication with other intelligent beings. Exploring language, forms of non-verbal communication and stylization, the work examines the constant drive for the harmonization of human relations. Emphasis is placed on pared-down gestures from daily life and the basic drive for physical contact, thus emphasizing themes like respect, the impulse of thought and the desire for identity. To the Distant Ones… consists of three sectors. Each of these serves to present human civilization as a life form capable of creation, love and progress. The work is defined as a triptych consisting of a combination of generative visual and music arts, as well as elements of light installations. Through the use of fine art forms generated by code and outside influence, the authors create a unique visual language, with a tendency towards universality. The installation does not present a utopian view of humanity, instead posing questions of whether we can become such and present ourselves in the best possible light to all those that (may) come. Project won National Selection Prize and was produced by Center for Promotion of Science (with cooperation of Ars Electronica festival Linz) in Serbia and exhibited at Art+Science festival (taking place in "Podroom Gallery") in Belgrade during April-May 2017.
