Litavia Engineering (Lithuania, Vilnius) 10 year anniversary calendar set
The project task was to create 2 calendars (1 wall 3 month-type with and 1 desk)
and a gift box for aviation engineering company which celebrates its 10year anniversary in 2019.
The main attention was to the desk calendar as it should have been premium quality and special design.
There's something to be proud of - all the illustrations are handmade - drawn in Adobe Illustrator using only a computer mouse.
It was a complicated task for me as this was my first real try to work with computer illustration. This project took 80 hour of drawing and 15 hours of press arrangements.
It's known that many airplanes have branding elements on their sides and tail. Moreover, there are special lights on the fuselage to lighten the images at night. For an illustrational purpose we decided to use the aircraft fuselage as a base for a natural element suiting the month. For example we used a watermellon texture for July and Christmas decorations for December.
To make the desk calendar look Premium we used an expensive thick paper with sparcling particles for its base. We also used silver foil for a logo on each sheet. It looks great together with the base paper (best seen on video below). Each sheet has glossy lamination on it. That makes illustration lights work much better. We also decided to make a small month number on ech sheet to make it easier to turn the sheet over.
As the desk calendar and the business gift were quite expensive de needed the gift box to be cheaper, but still looking good. We made it from thick cardboard with a glossy envelope-cover.
