The Anatomy of Chaos
Improvisational music concert & live Cymatics
Improvisational music concert under the title The Anatomy of Chaos is driven by subtle electro-acoustic experiments that are introducing contemporary sound practice through sensory narratives. In this particular case, intuitive compositional approaches are confronting the paradigm of time in the musical form, which is embedded in our everyday cognitive habits derived by the technological multi-media saturation.
With support by the students of music&philosophy workshop in DKSG run by Serbian percussionist Aleksandar Andrejević, 4 performers gather in an effort to build unique audio-visual setting through engaging rich electro-acoustic instrumentarium and the visual set-up based on the Cymatics.
Cymatics is the science that examines sounds’ formative nature through observing its vibratory patterns, therefore cymatics allows visualization and further materialization of the sound through the resonant phenomenons of Faraday's waves. Those being in constant motion from the state of order to a complicit chaos, are fully dependent to the wholeness of inflicted frequency values.
