The Social War
January 2019

My new year's resolution was to be more creative. So I decided to create a poster for every passing month for 2019. I have to create something different each month, and it must be a work way out of my comfort zone of creative work.

This month I've read a lot of different articles and spent a whole lot of time on social platforms, and I don't like what I see. We seem to become more distant and hostile towards each other, on social platforms and in general. It seems that the world, that in some ways have become smaller and more political correct, also might have lost the humanity towards each other somewhere in the process. The more hostile we become, the more we don't listen and argue with reason and not only feelings, the more one of my biggest fears are likely to become true.

Global Social War. Not nations fighting, which is also really bad, but people fighting people based on beliefs and feelings. A war without borders, where you can't stay neutral, because someone might not like you, and end you.

So in short: I made a poster with many different people, torn apart.
Pictures where collected from different webpages
None of the people in the pictures where chosen for their beliefs or anything else.
I don't know them personally, so where only chosen since it worked with the artwork.
