A small, almost 40 yrs old house (on rent), which was renovated according to the needs of a newly wed couple. The challenges for the team were the old structure, electrical work, and a very tight budget. The main focus of the couple was to renovate the space in a way that everything was portable so they could utilize them later too - when they shift to their own house.
The idea behind the design was to integrate modern and traditional touch; hence the Bamboo chick curtains and Moora stools. Changing the color of the walls, windows, and doors was a dramatic overhaul to the dull mustard brown and yellow walls (Diyaar color) which used to make space look even more old, and is now the focal feature of the house. The addition of traditional bamboo chick curtain brought natural light and greenery elements in the space. A semi-solid shelf acts as a vertical divider of spaces; while providing storage as well.
Like any other millennials, the couple had no time to renovate the space, Deztopia not only designed the space but also implemented the whole project according to the requirements of the client, in a very reasonable budget and time.
