Obelisks throughout centuries
Data visualization for La Lettura - Corriere della Sera
The visualization shows the obelisks (only over 10 meters high) throughout centuries in the world. They are shown in a timeline where the first row contains the "ancient" obelisks, and the other two rows contain the "modern" obelisks.
Each obelisk is represented in its original form and color and it goes with its name, height (without the pedestal), continent and country.
On the left, the obelisks are shown on a map: the size of the circle represent the number of obelisks in the country.
