remember that it's a crime/sin/booboo not to provide context for the viewer. so all projects will need some type of description or introduction—FIRST. simply stating "this is my first project in class and it was fun" doesn't really provide much for the viewer. one way is to adapt/use/appropriate language from the project brief: this is a self-portrait. i created digital imagery to communicate select aspects of my personality. this project demonstrates a command of physical and technological craft as well as an understanding of semiotic modes of representation. the finished work is 12 x 18 inches, incorporates scanned objects, digital photography,over-printing, and was printed digitally. include a link to your dropmark® to show more about your thought process, inspiration and work-in-process. maybe something like this: follow this link (do not copy and paste the url...copy and use the short link as i showed) to view inspiration, alternative solutions and the design process for this project.
this should be an image of the front and rear cover showing your name and personality descriptors. the image may be cropped much closer than shown here. make all images 1440 wide, but "give the image some breathing room by clicking to add padding." change the background color to a light, neutral grey for this and all following images.
this is an image of the scanned 3D object objects on a background. remember it's rotated (upside down) in layout, so you need to accommodate that for the viewer...so they don't have to rotate their head.
this should show the icon/portrait side only. make this noticeably different than the one that follows it...in size and perhaps changing the angle.
this image should show both sides.
this should be a video showing the "sequential disclosure." unfolding your fine, fine work :-)
