Qu’est-ce Que C’est Design Singapore's profile

The Climate Action Festival was held on 2 and 3 June 2018 as part of the launch celebrations of the Sustainable Singapore Gallery at the Marina Barrage. The Gallery was created to share how sustainability has played a part in Singapore’s development and also to educate the public in ways we can continue to maintain a liveable and sustainable Singapore.

The concept drew reference from the key effects of climate change outlined by the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEWR), which are namely the rising temperature, erratic rainfall and rising sea levels. These are represented by illustrations of the sun, rain and the sea which overlap, like in a venn diagram. The overlapping highlights how climate change was a result of our collective actions. In addition, it also makes reference the Sustainable Singapore Gallery’s call for three groups of people―individual, the organisation and the school―to pledge in taking action in reducing the three effects of climate change.
