One of my first classes after returning to Philadelphia University was centered around Construction Materials and Methods, giving me an opportunity to bridge a connection between my Community College of Philadelphia experience and that of my "new" Philadelphia University experience. This project asked us to 1. Design a small 2-story house, 2. Using CAD, develop 2D drawings of the house, and 3. To build a physical representation of the design intent and construction method used. This was a wood- framed assembly, and offers 2 separate floors, with space for sleeping on the second floor, as well as a more private study on the lower, 1st floor. Below are the drawings for the house followed by photos of the final physical model built.
