New product development. Independent creative project.

This creative project is about a hypothetical Craft Beer brand I have been developing myself.

I have developed ideation, creative concept, naming, tagline, character, label design, packaging design and production process for the real project.

On the last step-production process for the real project-I have talked to awesome people like brewer professionals, packaging engineers and more.

Also, I want to give a job opportunity and credits to small artisans on this project if my ideas for producing it really work out.

I have been studying a lot about craft beers, and found out that in Brazil, a long time ago, about the XIX century there was a curious beer called something like “ The String Beer”.

Below you can see a link ( In Portuguese) about the real String Bottle.

That beer had this name because of its pretty strong alcoholic fermentation. It was impossible to keep the beer bottle closed, so the producers really needed to wrap the bottle in strings to keep it closed and avoid it to explode.

So I imagined a funny “ demon” -the strong alcoholic fermentation-inside the beer bottle, fighting against the strings to be free, cause confusion and have fun. A Demon in the Bottle.

Since we are talking about the XIX century in Brazil, the little demon is wearing a fancy topper and fashion clothes. I want to develop a series of illustrations of the demon wearing different clothes.

Also, there is a small illustration next to the top of the bottle, where the demon is trying to open the bottle to be free.

The bottle will be indeed wrapped with colored strings. I wonder if I can use 3D printing for the colored strings details or real strings placed manually-in a domestic production, for example.

My suggestion for the naming is “ Demon in a Bottle”. There are other details like the lines " Brewed and Bottled with fun" located on the lower part of the label and "

Free the Demon and Have Fun", located on the bottom of the bottle.
