Mote Marine "Save Our Oceans" Campaign

Mote Marine Laboratory is an independent, not-for-profit, marine research organization based on City Island in Sarasota, Florida. Aside from their aquarium, they do a lot of research on local sea life. This is an awareness ad campaign about red tide that has been tainting the waters of the Gulf Coast for a year now.
For this project, I wanted to create an ad campaign for them that's centered around "Save Our Oceans". I changed the original logo only to add the text for the campaign, so that it's recognizable, but also clearly a campaign that they are currently doing.
I chose to do the ads in a way that leaves the viewer interested in finding out more. There's a fact on each ad with the corresponding animal in an illustrated style to match the rest of the products. These posters don't evoke immense sadness, but they spark curiosity and there's a link and a QR code for the link so that the audience can find out more on their own.
These beach towels will be part of the effort to raise money. They are stylish enough for people to want to use one at the beach, but also display the campaign name boldly so that passers-by can see the logo. These would be sold near the beach in all of the Gulf Coast cities in Florida. Part of the money would be donated to Mote Marine to fund research on red tide.
Another component to this campaign is enamel that will be sold alongside the beach towels.
This is an extra component that would come with the purchase of either the enamel pin or the beach towels. This gives further information on the red tide situation and a link to find out more as well.
A simple snapchat filter available on any Gulf beach in Florida helps to get the word out through social media. A lot of people who visit the beach care about the ocean too and this is a good way to not only create a cool picture for them, but to also advertise for the campaign.
