For me, Forestal is about finding chaos in order. It's symmetrical, the width and height are set, but the feels of its glyphs are somewhat varying and deliberately inconsistent. The first draft, by the name of Ellamne, was drawn and digitized in 2009 while I was making a design proposal for a local pop band. It didn't take me long to redefine the cuts just few days after the year turned. I really enjoy to see how fat the glyphs this font has. Let's set this year's trend: Semibold is the new Regular.
