Valentine Day Box, Bonnie and Clyde

Bonnie and Clyde Valentine's Day Box
A Valentine's Day Box dedicated to Miss Bonnie Parker from Clyde Barrow, the infamous criminal couple that robbed banks in the American Mid West in the 1930s during the Great Depression Era.

Process
I wrapped the entire box in epson paper, artist tac, and used Photoshop and Illustrator to create the chocolate money candy bars, the collage well that holds the coins and the messages inside the wells.
I used real images from the press of Bonnie and Clyde and some of the images from the movie Bonnie and Clyde (1964).
I was going for a jagged, rugged, violent kind of feel, the feeling of meeting a mobster in a nice suit and sophisticated yet dangerous.
For me it was very important to keep it saucy and full of surprises. All of the wells have a message on the inside so that way when someone lifts the chocolate bar up, there is a reference to their historical story and movie.
Clyde is most known for stealing the Ford V8, the fastest car in 1933. He evaded capture for years from the FBI by driving countless days and nights across the Mid West, and only stopping to rest or rob a bank.
Clyde often used heavy guns, but whenever he did a bank heist, it was with a pistol similar to this chocolate gun.
