This work is an e-book design about a crime novel. The text I chose is the first chapter of "And Then There Were None", it is a dramatic adaptation of the best-selling crime novel by Agatha Christie. The story follows 10 strangers who receives an unusual invitation to a solitary mansion based remotely Off Britain's Devon Coast. Cut off from the outside world, the group arrives at its destination, only to find that darkness awaits them. As people start to mysteriously die, the members of the group realize there is a killer among them.

In the design process of this e-book, I used a combination of dark blue and blood red, and a simple and smooth style of illustration. The first is to express the horror atmosphere of the book. In the book, people die constantly in various ways. Blood is a very important element in this book. In addition, the main body of the e-book is text, if the illustration are too detailed and complicated will be overwhelming, so my focus is on the content of the book, assisted by simple style illustrations.

In this book, the author uses the soldier doll as a clue to connect the plot. The disappearance of a soldier doll indicates that a person is dead. The characters in the book are full of fear of the little puppet. In the design process, I refer to this plot and set the content as ten little soldiers. Clicking on the little soldiers will jump to the corresponding chapter, and I set up the virginity of the "Ten Little Soldiers" as a background song to render the atmosphere of terror.

When design the single chapters, I also referred to the plot development in the book. In the story, one of the characters took the train to the destination and got important news in the newspaper, so I drew the scene and let the cigarettes in the hands change the size and brightness. The reader can click on the cigarette and go to corresponding chapter.

The scene where the coin falls onto the dagger and then bleeds is also a hint of the story. Because in the story, there is a character whose background is paid killer, I want to describe this character through this picture.

The story goes to the third part. The people come to the castle on the island by boat. During the reader's reading process, the boat on the screen will slowly move. I hope that through this design, the reader can feel the progress and changes of the plot.
