Unity Of Three Inequal Capsules - Sculpture

Unity Of Three Inequal Capsules - Sculpture
272,5mm x 135mm x 180mm, Marble or Glass, 2019

Unity of Three Inequal Capsules is a sculpture illustrating the lightness and stability in heavy materials.
It is quite visible that the sculpture is inspired by Max Bill's work Unit of Three Equal Cylinders, 1966. Max Bill's Unit of Three Equal Cylinders incorporates the idea that sculptures should take clear, concrete forms, and develop symmetrically from a core, Unity of Three Inequal Capsules on the other hand breaks this symmetry but still remains the balance of the corpuses.
The three capsules, by themselves quite different, approximate in assemblage and become a stable, well balanced unity.

Unity of Three Inequal Capsules is not a commissioned piece. It was the result of a series of sculptural studies dealing with entity and was further developed in different materials in 2019.

In the future there will be a small edition of about 10 sculptures in presumable five different materials. Unity of Three Inequal Capsules will probably be available in Green Marble, White Marble, Gilt Brass. At this point I am looking into producing the transparent Glass version. After that I will look for other appropriate materials!

If you are a glass manufactory or atelier and you are interested in producing this particular sculpture feel free to reach out!
